Uprooted

This is one of those books where I understand why it was nominated for those awards and picked up a win or two. I appreciate the craftsmanship. I enjoyed the novel. I'm glad I read it. I enjoyed how magic was infused into the battles in the back-half. I thought the ending was mythic in it's heartbreak and simplicity. And yet, for all that enjoyment, I feel that I will probably never read this book again. It's just not a book I'd consider coming back to for a second read.
