Mistborn

Oh man, this book.

I have been a long fan of Fantasy, having read it near exclusively for the past ten years. The problem with fantasy, though, is their magic. Most magic systems are just kind of... there...

Not for Mistborn, though.

Mistborn's magic systems (yes that's plural) all have a clear source, and the author has nearly brought it down to a science how they work.

But not only is the magic system very well thought-out, the story itself enraptured me. I finished the book within three days, the other five following shortly after. The characters are well developed, the story simply amazing, and the world was clear in my head, even without the entire chapters of worldbuilding that some authors tend to do.

Everyone should read this. Just, wow.
