Nearly 200 years old, but has well stood up.
Still readable, still thought-provoking.
The theme that stood our for me was science - progress, the abilities and responsibilities of scientists, hubris. But there are more: the universal need for love, good and evil, the origin of life, first impressions and discrimination based on looks.
All still relevant, all still interesting.
And of course, the book is also still a good horror story.
Highly recommended.
