This is an excellent, thought provoking book, it's measured pace reminded me a bit of the film prometheus. This is not to say the book is slow but it doesn't rush around with just action but spends a bit of time to describe events, people and items.
The book is 250 pages long which means it doesn't really have any fat in it, all the pages have a purpose.
I really enjoyed the book for the reason it seemed extremely believable, the scenario, the story and the characters reactions.
I can't believe I have only read one of Arthur C Clarkes books before.
The book starts with a space ship suddendly appearing and the nearest ship is sent to investigate.
The crew slowly investigate the mysterious spaceship and make some interesting discoveries. I could tell you more but I would ruin the fun.
