This book is hard to classify ("Gothic" is as good a term as any) but it's of one my favourites by one of my favourite writers, along with The Martian Chronicles, The Golden Apples of the Sun, The Illustrated Man. Some of the best stories in it are "The Crowd," "The Scythe," "The Wind" and "There Was an Old Woman."
Bradbury in some ways was not strictly science fiction, but was more of a fabulist, part of an American fantasy tradition, along with Hawthorne, Poe, Bierce, Lovecraft, Jackson, etc. He is a wonderful writer however you classify him.
