Camouflage

Camouflage is a lot of different books in one: it is a kind of hard science fiction with enough references to actual science to please the most difficult readers, it is a kind of monster story with an historical twist but most surprisingly, it is also a love story!

The interest of the book comes, in my humble opinion, from the evolution of the two main characters. The Changeling and the Chameleon, both start the story as a kind of monsters. One of them progresses slowly and ends up as being psychologically close to a human being.

The books raises interesting questions about what is a human being but manages to remain a good entertainment. The chameleon character would have deserved a more developped story. All in all a good book I enjoyed from A to Z and closed with regrets.
