This series has great characters, great adventures, great consequences and great writing. The author has a real gift for laying out the historical events our heroine visits, with all the terrifying and deadly details. I've found myself delving further online into many of these events and their historical characters. Then, just when this series was getting a bit formulaic, Taylor tweaked things perfectly. This book was at times heartbreaking....... truly wrenching.......... jaw dropping and thorough out, highly entertaining.
