The Fallen

I've never read anything else quite like this. It weaves into the plot a refreshing (and at times somewhat bizarre) perspective of the mentally ill, yet lets those challenges also be a strengths. The whole God and Angel world building is unique as well. All our heroines (and villains) are damaged in some way. I'm can't wait to see where this series goes next.
