The Sirens of Titan

Every wonder how much a species can be externally manipluated without their knowledge? This book gives a bizarrely foreseeable, yet not easy-to-see-where-going tale of just this. It's not really until the last bits of the book where everything is explained and it's quite satisfying. Saying much more is too much of a spoiler, but probably what I've already said is enough too look at what you're reading the first time and "almost" put enough together yourself. I foresaw a bit of what was going on, but still I was impressed by the final reveals. What's strange is this book and slaughterhouse five are directly related...but are they even in the same written universe?
