This is very clearly part 3 of a novel rather than a novella, and since it's been a year and a half since I read part 2, it became quickly apparent that it was going to be incomprehensible to me without going back for a re-read of the first two. The cultural details in these stories are intensely interesting, but I was less enamored of the way that the first two each relied on a different, previously-unforeshadowed deus ex machina to wrap up the story. I opted not to do a re-read or continue with the series. But if you enjoyed the first two, you'll likely enjoy this one.
