Red as Blood and White as Bone

The story is written beautifully and it captived me from the very first sentence. It was truly a fairytale until the plot of the main character during World War. It is really interesting but rushed and convoluted. I must admit, I was disappointed in the end but still - read the beginning of the story. There the true beauty of the fairytale lies.
