Semi decent'ish adventure story about a galactic conspiracy. It is the typical Asimov mystery without much of a clue and plenty of red herrings, that is all quickly unwrapped in the end by the protagonist.
It contains the typical bull headed strong male and weak female character you find in 50's sci fi, which gets a little tiresome after a while, but it was the 'thing' back then. This isn't helped at all by the main star of the book being the most insufferable idiotic twit. I could barely stand the nob end 90% of the book, and then at the end he tries saying 'it was all just an act!!!'. No, just no.
