The Bazaar of Bad Dreams

These are not exactly traditional "King Horror" stories. The collection reminded me more of his The Colorado Kid, or Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption: A Story from Different Seasons. Readers looking for "scary King" will be disappointed, and with a title like The Bazaar of Bad Dreams why wouldn't they expect to be scared? This book suffers from false advertising.

As far as the stories go, I thought the standouts in the book were "Blockade Billy" and "Under the Weather." Both of these stories were not exactly horror, but had that little twinge of "King creepiness" that leaves a reader a bit uncomfortable as the story goes along.
