I am thinking to collect and read them. Did not find any info about their longevity. So asking here.

I can't speak for the whole run but I have a couple of yellow spined Masterworks and they aren't on acid free paper. I've heard the black spined are more highly regarded but haven't run across any in my area second hand. Vintage SF had an episode about his Masterworks collection that you might find useful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9XRn-eM2wA
