For this challenge, read four (or multiples of four) books that contain a common plot element.  This would be a narrower focus than books that share a subgenre tag.   How you interpret the challenge – and what commonality is shared by the books you choose – is completely up to you.  Good luck and have fun!

Location: New Zealand		Sure, I'll play. I'm thinking dragons.

I'm pretty sure I can come up with 12 books starring dragons, but if you have any suggestions I'm interested in anything I haven't thought of..

Location: behind the 4th wall		Welcome to the challenge weesam! An interesting book that I enjoyed that features a dragon is Travel Light by Naomi Mitchison. And I would recommend, with hesitation, The Last Dragon by JM McDermott. It's good but.....odd.

We’re at the halfway point for the 2017 Choose Your Own Adventure Reading Challenge!  How’s everyone doing?

I have completed 6 of my planned 12 books.

 

Circus/Circus Performers

The Lonely Hearts Hotel by Heather O’Neil  (3 Stars)

 

Authors/Libraries

The Red Tree by Caitlin Kiernan (4 Stars)

The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins (3 Stars)

 

Pirates/Nautical Fiction 

The Scar by China Mieville (4 Stars)


I had originally planned to do linguistics as a category but I changed that to pirates/nautical fiction.
