Biography
Stephanie Gunn is a writer and reader of all genres, but her special interests are mythic fiction and contemporary fantasy. She has reviewed in the past for Horrorscope and Australian Speculative Fiction in Focus, and now posts her reviews at The Forest of Books. She has served as a judge for the Australian Shadows Awards, Norma K Hemming, and Aurealis Awards, and has acted as the convenor of the Aurealis Horror, Young Adult, Best Science Fiction Novel and Best Fantasy panels. She is currently judging the Sara Douglass Award.
She has been nominated for Ditmar and Tin Duck awards for her fan writing, and won the Tin Duck for best Fan Writer in 2012. Her fiction has been nominated for the Ditmar, Tin Duck and Aurealis Awards. She won the 2016 and 2017 Tin Duck Awards for Best Western Australia Professional Short Work.
She lives in Perth, Western Australia with her husband, children and requisite cat (who cares precisely nothing for all of the above). And far too many books.
