Biography
I grew up in Epping, a market town on the edges of London, surrounded by forest. After training as a ballet dancer and dancing professionally with Northern Ballet for three years, I became a primary school teacher. I have written about dance and reviewed a range of productions for many print and online outlets.
I love learning! I have an Open University degree, an MA in Creative and Life Writing from Goldsmiths and a Permaculture Design certificate, among other large and small qualifications.
My writing is inspired by ancient things: forests, oceans, music, oral storytelling, mythology and folklore. I love stories that nest inside others, stories that trick you and stories that change the structure of your heart.
